My names Sam and I grew up in windy Wellington, throughout highschool I was given a rough time and often teased for being a little runt. I hated it to be honest, I found myself struggling to find any self confidence at all till one day a couple of my mates (Chris and Dimitri) took me to Les Mills with them to show me how to build muscle. I was all for it but had no idea what on earth I was doing. They told me that this was the only way to build muscle and a way I could bulk up fast.

I remember the first workout I had, All we did was bicep curls for about an hour then grabbed Mcds after. I laugh thinking about it now…. I had no idea how to build muscle.

Anyway I got really into the idea of packing on some serious muscle and so I got myself a personal trainer. I remember every training I gave it my all put everything into it the whole time thinking about all the muscle building I was doing (When in actual fact I wasnt doing any). I tryed everything and the trainer did to. He was stumped…. Was it food? was it training? Genetics? I thought there was just something wrong with me and I think he started to aswel.

This carryed on for about 2 long hard years as I saw all my friends growing around me getting bigger and bigger, they would build muscle like it was nothing at all. It wasnt till one day I had enough! I said no more, I was going to get big no matter what happened.

At that time I did exactly what your doing now. I hopped on the internet and got searching. I found everything from crazy diets, to supplements, to crazy training plans. So then I spent another 6 months trying it all without much success.

Then one day I stumbled upon this guy Justin Rys, I remember seeing him on the news and I jumped right online to check him out. He was massive, an IFBB Pro bodybuilder. Not only that he seemed like a dude that really liked to help people and had helped alot of people build muscle. So I jumped on the net and to my astonishment stumbled accross this book that he wrote called bigkiwi unleashed. It took me through everything from training to nutrition to some of the reasons that my body wasnt packing on muscle as quickly as it should. I found out that it wasnt me that was the issue or my genes it was that my body type wasnt doing what it needed to in order to succeed at the gym. It was crazy but after that I packed on 8kgs of muscle within the first 3 months of following Justins training. I now writing this weigh 93kgs a whole 30kgs larger then when I first started (You should see the looks at the gym they all think im on roids). Seriously I didnt write this to toot my own horn or anything lol but I know there are so many out there that struggle to put on muscle in the gym and giveup.

Im not sure if your in that category but please if you take anything away from my experience it’s not your fault or your genes it’s just you havnt found what works for you yet. I would totally recommend that you check out this book if you want to build some muscle fast as it has all the tools you’ll need. Sure it’s not perfect and there are some techniques and supps that I used from the book that didnt work, but it’s the best I have found so far for building muscle and I owe alot of my gains to what Justin teaches.
